Jason Kavanaugh originally co-founded Concorde Holdings, a Livonia, Mich.-based company that serves retail and institutional clients through a national network of financial professionals affiliated with the Concorde companies. Concorde Holdings consists of three wholly owned subsidiaries: Concorde Investment Services, LLC—a national securities broker/dealer, Concorde Asset Management—an SEC registered investment advisory firm, and Concorde Insurance Agency—a national life insurance agency. Jason serves as the president and CEO of Concorde Holdings where he draws on his considerable experience in the financial services and distribution sectors.
After beginning his financial career with Mariner Financial Services, he co-founded Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Questar Capital Corporation in 1998, building it to a national organization and selling the company in 2005 to Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America. Jason served in various leadership roles after the transaction until 2008, including senior vice president of business development at Allianz’s parent company, Allianz of America. Jason’s legacy continues as Questar Capital Corporation still operates today.
A skilled financial services executive, Jason has been recognized as a leader that develops organizations around a customer centric culture, which drives value to financial professionals and their clients. His philosophy and strategy of value creation for customers has earned local and national recognition for his companies, including The Future 50 of Detroit for six years, an Inc. 500 national qualifier for 3 consecutive years, and Inc. 5000 national qualifier for the past 2 consecutive years.
He has also served on the board of directors for the Detroit Chapter of the Entrepreneur Organization and has been an active member for the last decade with the Entrepreneurs’ Organization—a global organization of entrepreneurs. Jason is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization or YPO—a global network of presidents and chief executives, as well as an advisory board member of Real Assets Adviser, a national publication for institutional real estate. Jason continues to enjoy speaking at local and national conferences on leadership, distribution, and financial services.
Jason attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy and later earned his bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Economics and English from the University of Detroit Mercy.
