2019 Concorde Spring Conference Recap

concorde financial services conference speaking

On behalf of everyone at Concorde, I would like to thank everyone who attended our 2019 Concorde Spring Conference in downtown Detroit. It was a jam-packed three days of camaraderie, education, entertainment, recognition and reflection, and by the end, I truly felt it evoked the culture of family that we continually strive to provide.

The conference included an extraordinary lineup of award-winning keynote speakers, top producer presentations, an exhibitor showcase and informative workshops from Concorde team members. We also featured a Concorde tech booth that provided attendees with a closer look at our new Concorde FLITE (Forward Looking Integrated Technology Enhancement) platform.

Coming off the high of the 2019 Concorde Spring Conference, I wanted to give you this quick recap of highlights from the event.

Day One | Tuesday, June 4

The first day of the 2019 Concorde Spring Conference was filled with leisurely fun as we settled into our hotels and embarked on a memorable golf outing at the Country Club of Detroit. Most of us played poorly, but with all the laughing and reconnecting we did it was hard to tell. The merriment continued through the evening as we enjoyed an elegant cocktail and dinner reception at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Day Two | Wednesday, June 5

Starting bright and early on day two, we got into the real substance of the conference. After a delicious breakfast provided by the Book-Cadillac Hotel, we gathered in the ballroom for a morning of workshops, led by the Concorde executive team, that covered topics like due diligence, advisor transactions and FLITE training.

Then, after lunch, I gave my opening remarks followed by a Q&A with the entire Concorde leadership team. This was followed by an outstanding keynote presentation by Sam Richter, who taught us how to better leverage digital tools like social media and Google to quickly find information and translate it into more qualified leads. He ended the presentation by offering up an exclusive tool for Concorde 2019 attendees called the Sales Intel Engine, which allows people to more efficiently search for information about leads.

The next speaker, Frank Maselli, is considered one of the most insightful thinkers in the financial services industry today.

He gave us a transparent look at what’s happening to our profession, insight into how we can stand out from the crowd, skills and tools needed to enhance our jobs and reassurance of the bright future we have as modern-day financial advisors.

After concluding the conference for the day, we let loose and headed to the Topgolf Swing Suite at MGM Grand Detroit for some virtual golf and a private dinner. We also enjoyed other activities like billiards, shuffleboard, basketball, giant Pac-Man and shameless singing at Concorde karaoke.

Day Three | Thursday, June 6

The final day of the 2019 Concorde Spring Conference brought everyone together one last time for breakfast and opening remarks by Drew Jackson, followed by workshops held by Concorde partners and team members around key topics like technology, compliance, student loan debt, tax-efficient portfolios and fixed insurance.

Finally, Concorde representatives Dan Raupp (Fortitude Investment Group, LLC), Dave Zupek (TADA Wealth Advisors) and Damian Dering (Custom Wealth) gave presentations centered around their businesses and services before we officially capped the conference.

I’m thrilled with the attendance and feedback we’ve received from our 2019 Concorde Spring Conference. It was truly a hallmark event and a testament to our inclusion on lists like Investment News’ Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors. Once again, thank you to all who attended—I look forward to continuing Concorde’s strong trajectory of growth through further investment in our people and infrastructure.

Best,
